Easy exam. Basic read the paragraph and correct mistakes. If you did ok in H.S. English don’t even bother studying.
I took this to get out of my second semester of comp. I was so mad that I sat through the actuall class for the first semester. Spend the $75 and save 2 semesters or writing.
This is another exam that is not easy per se, but is also possible to pass without studying for it at all. I passed this exam “ice cold” after ten years out of school and it was nothing too shocking to manage. I would definitely suggest studying for it, but I do know that it is possible to pass without studying. Much like Analyzing & Interpreting Literature, I only got a 52 on this one, but I did pass. All in all, CLEPs are about a pass or fail so I would say it was certainly worth it for me to earn 6 credits in English without studying or stepping foot inside of a classroom.
I took the English Composition with Essay exam and I have to warn you that time seems to be a slight issue with this exam. In fact, I finished my essay with less than 30 seconds left to spare!
