CLEP
The CLEP History of the United States II exam is 120 questions and has a 90 minute time limit. The exam tests candidates knowledge of US History from 1865 t0 prestent, concentrating primarily from 1915 forward. Yeilds 3 Credits.

I believe that US History II will require a significant amount of study for most people. It would certainly be fair to think in terms of broad knowledge, rather than deep knowledge though. Nonetheless, you will have to know what you are talking about in order to pass this exam. I will estimate that I studied for about 15 hours and I got a 56 on it using only InstantCert. Surely additional study references would have increased my score, but when it comes to CLEP, a pass is a pass!
