The CLEP Principles of Marketing exam is 100 questions with a 90 minutes time limit. The exam tests candidates knowledge of the role of marketing in society, role of marketing in a business, target marketing and marketing mix. Yields 3 credits.

Make sure you know the marketing mix - promotion, distribution, product and service management. Key words to remember are heterogeneity, reciprocity, vertical integration and retailers. Understand target markets, which include things like segmentation and consumer behaviors. There will be a little math for this test, but it’s very easy.
